Professional profile

Dr Agarwal’s practice at The Wells Suite is a reflection of his NHS practice at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.

He is a General Physician with a good depth of knowledge in all aspects of it.  He also has a special interest in venous thromboembolic disease, namely PE and DVT and likes to follow-them up to prevent future complications. To support this he has fully trained and accredited himself in Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography (Echo) which helps him assess the functioning of both sides of the heart and pick-up developing pulmonary hypertension.  He is keen on managing patients with diabetes and other endocrine (hormonal) conditions.

His initial consultations attempt to offer any relevant tests on the same day. These might include blood tests, scans, and an Echo if needed. He likes to spend time with his patients explaining to them in simple terms what their medical illness is and how it can be best managed.  He has an active interest in teaching and training and actively audits his clinical work.

Personal profile

My life outside medicine revolves round my wife and 2 young children.  I love spending time with my family and enjoy long walks around the beautiful town we live in.  I regularly keep in touch with friends and family spread all over the world, which certainly widens my horizon.  I also enjoy listening to music and watching comedy.  I thoroughly enjoy playing chess and like to keep fit.
