Professional profile

Dr Gillett qualified in 1976 from St Bartholomew’s Hospital University of London. His postgraduate training in Haematology was in Cambridge and Kings’College Hospital, London.He was appointed as Consultant in Haematology in Tunbridge Wells in 1987. He takes an active interest in all aspects of clinical haematology and a particular interest in research. He is the Clinical Lead (joint) for the Kent and Medway Cancer Research Network.

Dr Gillett specialises in treating haematological cancer including lymphomas, myeloma, myeloid leukaemias and myeloproliferative disorders.  He also treats patients with non- malignant general haematological conditions.
He runs a lymphoma clinic on Monday mornings and a myeloid clinic on Wednesday mornings, both at Pembury hospital.  On alternate weeks there is a general haematology clinic at Sevenoaks hospital for local patients.
